Learn To Skate - Mini Mites
Mini-mites is Marathon County Youth Hockey's Free introductory hockey program for girls and boys. Mini-mites is for kids who have NOT had prior experience skating. During the season we help kids learn to skate. Most of all we have fun!
Ages
This program is for brand new skaters, typically ages 4-10. Our program focuses on learning to skate and basic stick handling while having fun.
When
This program usually starts in November and ends by mid-February. The program is kicked off by a Try Hockey For Free Day that then transitions into the Mini-Mite program. Follow our Facebook page for date details.
Where
We practice at Marathon County Park.
Practices
We meet twice a week, usually on Wednesday's and Sunday's. Attendance is not required for all sessions.
Games
There are not any scrimmage games for Mini-Mites. We do incorporate other fun games into practices.
Equipment
All equipment BESIDES skates and sticks are provided. There is a $150 deposit collected at equipment pickup. This is returned at the end of the season when equipment is turned in.

Marathon County Hockey Fee: FREE + USA Hockey Fee
USA Hockey Fee: FREE - Ages 6 and under
$56.00 - Ages 7 and up
*Registration with USA Hockey is required to register and participate in any hockey activities
*USA Hockey fee is only paid once per hockey season
