USA HOCKEY/WAHA HELMET POLICY

Beginning this season (2006-07)  -- all coaches, at all levels, with all coaching classifications must wear helmets for ALL on-ice activities. This means pre season, practices...anytime you step on the ice. The penalty for a coach not wearing a helmet will be suspension from all state, regional and national tournaments.

For coaches needing helmets....Goal Line Golf and Hockey has extended an offer to MCYH certified coaches.  Bring in your valid coaches card and receive 10% off the helmet of your choice. Face guards excluded. One helmet per coach card.

USA HOCKEY STANDARDS OF PLAY AND RULE EMPHASIS

USA Hockey has announced a new Standard of Rules Enforcement for all levels. Through this new initiative a greater emphasis will be placed on skating, puck possession and the proper use of the body to establish position and a competitive advantage. Click below for more details:

NEW USA HOCKEY WAHA/CEP POLICY EFFECTIVE JAN 1, 2006

All Team Officials on each player's bench must conform to this policy beginning January 1, 2006.  The Referee shall file an Incident Report within 24 hours for any Team Official not complying with this policy as listed below:

"Beginning January 1, 2006, prior to the start of the game, all Team Officials present, from each team, are required to sign the designated area of the score sheet in order to verify the accuracy of the playing roster, as it appears on the score sheet for that game. In addition, team Officials must include their USA Hockey Coaching Education Program (CEP) card number, their CEP level (1-Initiation, 2-Associate, 3-Intermediate, 4-Advanced, or 5-Master) and the year their CEP level was attained. The CEP card number, level and year attained shall be printed legibly and next to the signature of each Coach."

DID YOU KNOW???

MCYH will reimburse you for your USA Hockey CEP certification clinic that is required to coach our teams. Provide a copy of your online registration receipt along with a copy of your CEP card showing you have obtained your coaching certification to the MCYH Association Treasurer. The annual USA Hockey insurance/registration fee for coaching is not reimbursed.
