HOCKEY OFFICIALS MEETING

Sunday Jan 13th 5:30 - 6:30

St. Johns Church Meeting Room 330 McClellan St (Behind Sheppard and Schaller).

The meeting is to explain how to use the TheArbiter Scheduling program for Referee Scheduling.  We will also discuss some game situations, dealing with difficult coaches and fans, face-offs and other topics. Please make every effort to attend. Watch your email for directions and additional info. Parents are encouraged to attend.

 

 

 

 

ONLINE SCHEDULE UPDATE

Please watch your email for a Welcome' letter in the coming days from the ARBITER.NET. Take a look at the help file below and take a tour of the new scheduling system. We will still be calling officials to work games for the next few weeks while we test the system and everybody has a chance to log on.

ATTENTION OFFICIALS 

MCYH will be using an online scheduling system this year: THE ARBITER.NET.  You MUST provide/update all information listed on the spreadsheet below to be entered into the system. This is the only way you will be scheduled to work games so you must provide a valid unique email address. No two official can use the same address). If you don't have an email address listed on the listing, you won't be scheduled for games.

NEW THIS YEAR -- BACKGROUND SCREENING

Any official who is 18 or older as of July 31, 2007 and who wishes to officiate USA Hockey games in Wisconsin this year must have a background check. You must have your background screen done before you can register for a seminar in Wisconsin -- there are absolutely no exceptions

 

You can find out more about the screening and get instruction on how to get screened on the WHOA web site (www.wihoa.com). It can take up to two weeks for the background check to be completed. Since seminar registration begins on August 1, 2007 is is advisable to get screened immediately.

 

 

OFFICIAL MUST BE CERTIFIED

New or returning officials who plan on officiating games during the 2007/2008 season must be registered with USA Hockey and Certified by the Wisconsin Hockey Officials Association (WHOA) by attending an Officiating Seminar. Everyone must be pre-register for the seminars online starting at 8:00 AM on August 8.  Space at all seminars is limited and you must pre-register in order to reserve you seat.   • August 25 - Stevens Point ((Level 1,2,3)
  • October 6 - Eagle River (Level 1,2,3)
  • October 28 - Wis Rapids (Level 4 only)
  • September 22 - Appleton (Level 1,2,3)

 

 

 

INTERESTED IN OFFICIATING????

If you are 12 years old by October 27, 2007 you are eligible to become a hockey official for the 2006/2007 season.
